Vision Statement
The African tribal masks have deep cultural, spiritual, and artistic significance, yet it has been often misrepresented, or misunderstood.
Through self-portraiture and mixed media, I intent or rather reinterpret African tribal masks in a modern context while honoring their historical, spiritual, and cultural significance.
By placing these masks within meaningful environments, I challenge misconceptions
and invite viewers to them as a symbol of identity, heritage, and artistry rather than objects of fear and misunderstanding.
